PRODUCT, TECHNOLOGY, EDUCATION AND TOURISM. AT SOL2EXPO BUSINESS BUT ALSO OLIVE EXPERIENCE FOR THE CONSUMER ON THE FIRST DAY.
Registration opens today for Sol2Expo – Full Olive Experience, scheduled at Veronafiere from Sunday, March 2 to Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The new event, which takes the baton from the nearly 30-year-old International Olive Oil Exhibition, thus makes its debut as a solo show on the trade fair calendar with a project that makesinnovation the key to the strategic development of a sector of Made in Italy, that of olive growing, which has 619 thousand farms on 1.14million hectares (of which 272 thousand are organic) and 4327 mills active in Italy (Ismea data). Product, technology, training and tourism are the four interconnected thematic pillars of Sol2Expo – Full Olive Experience, which boasts a vertical approach, unique in Italy, capable of bringing together in an original format the entire olive production and processing process.
From olives (there are nearly 500 varieties in our country, covering about 42 percent of the world’s olive cultivars) to virgin and extra virgin olive oil and by-products, from special seed oils to nutritional oils to wellness products, oil-based cosmetics and technology. A product and content renewal that also invests the format, which will be presented from March 2 to 4 with many new entries in the three pavilions, respectively dedicated to artisanal extra virgin olive oil for catering, horeca and organized distribution (Hall 1), the second to oils destined for the mass market, nutraceuticals and cosmetics with special attention to the hotellerie and wellness center sectors, and a pavilion (no.3) entirely reserved for technological innovation, with the offer of machinery and equipment for the production and packaging of oil for all stages of the supply chain, from harvesting to packaging.
Not only that. Sol2Expo on the one hand holds firm to its business soul further strengthened by a specific incoming plan for the exhibition, but for the first time it also opens its doors to the consumer segment. On Sunday, March 2, in fact, the Sol2Expo program includes experiences including direct buying, cooking shows, workshops and tastings with pairing for the public and enthusiasts. Among the new features of Sol2Expo also enters the oil tourism area created in collaboration with the Oil Cities for the narration and promotion of territories with a vocation for oil production.
As for confirmations, Sol2Expo confirms Sol D’Oro, the industry’s benchmark international competition organized by Veronafiere and preparing for its 23rd edition in 2025 in the Northern Hemisphere version (Feb. 10-17).
